Jeff Scott was the Assistant Treasurer and Partner of Microsoft’s Alexander Hamilton award winning treasury where he managed the capital market activities and a group of 30 professionals. Mr. Scott’s management responsibilities included the $80B global investment portfolio, $10B foreign exchange hedging program, and $60B capital distribution plan. His team developed an extensive array of asset allocation and risk management models to set our strategic and tactical investment and hedging strategies, which produced $7B in value-add. The results were generated while adhering to significant investment and hedging constraints: high liquidity, low investment income volatility, GAAP accounting implications, and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 certification. Mr. Scott’s 18 years of experience includes a breadth of international capital market capabilities, ranging from global cash operations to foreign debt issuance. I led teams in the selection and implementation of several systems to manage international treasury related functions.
